January 20–24, 2027

Winterruption is a multi-day arts and music festival that transforms venues, businesses, and public spaces across the city into vibrant cultural hubs during the coldest time of year. Designed to celebrate Winnipeg’s creative community and combat seasonal depression, the festival brings together live music, DJs, comedy, visual art, and unique pop-up programming to create an inviting and energetic atmosphere for both locals and visitors.
Winterruption Winnipeg has expanded its programming every year with a focus on inclusion, accessibility, discovery, and community engagement, offering opportunities for emerging artists and putting Winnipeg on the map for international touring acts. By driving foot traffic, supporting local talent, and creating memorable winter experiences, Winterruption Winnipeg plays an important role in strengthening the city’s cultural and economic landscape.
Winterruption Winnipeg is brought to you by Real Love Winnipeg and the West End Cultural Centre.
Winterruption Winnipeg takes place on Treaty 1 land, the traditional territory of the Anishinebek, Inimiwak, and the homeland of the Red River Metis. The province of Manitoba is also situated within the homelands of the Anishininwak, Dakota, Denesuline, and Inuit. We also offer our thanks to Shoal Lake First Nations 39 & 40 as the source of Winnipeg’s water and the First Nations of Treaty 1, 3, & 5 as the source of Winnipeg’s hydroelectric power.
